Bihar’s Post-Election Cabinet Meeting: Big Decisions, Bigger Vision.

The newly formed Bihar goverment under Nitish Kumar held its First Cabinet meeting on 25th November, 2025 where it approved six key proposals,including construction of new sugar mills and revival of old ones, development of green township, job creation,AI Mission,High Level Committee,New Age Economy Plans.

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and attended by Chief Secretary Pratyay Amrit, approved a series of major developments. Along with reviving 9 old sugar mills, the government will also open 25 new sugar mills to strengthen the agriculture-based economy and generate rural jobs.The cabinet also focused on creating 1 crore jobs over the next five years.This includes opportunities in private industries, government departments and new tech-driven sectors.The government announced plans to develop new greenfield and satellite townships in multiple districts. These townships will improve urban infrastructure, housing, and investment opportunities.The cabinet emphasized on establishing tech parks, AI-focused centers, and global workplace clusters to attract investment and create high-skilled jobs. The Chief Secretary further added that high-level committees led by senior officials will supervise the execution of development plans and ensure timely progress, transparency, and effective coordination across departments statewide.

With its focus on jobs, industry, and modern infrastructure, Bihar is positioning itself to play a stronger role in making Bharat “vikshit” by 2047. The state’s push toward technology, urban renewal, and better governance shows a clear intent to contribute meaningfully to the country’s economic progress and future readiness.
